CIDM (Certified Insurance Data Manager) Designation
The CIDM designation represents advanced expertise in insurance data management—combining IDMA’s foundational curriculum with recognized industry credentials to demonstrate a high level of professional achievement.
To earn the CIDM, candidates must first earn their AIDM designation, then expand their knowledge by completing a qualifying credential from a leading industry organization, including CPCU, CAS, LOMA, or SOFE. This flexible structure allows you to align your certification path with your career focus while deepening your expertise.
Program Requirements
- Earn AIDM designation by successfully passing all four module exams after enrolling in the program.
- Select one advanced pathway from the following options:

AIDM + four CPCU courses (CPCU 520, 540, and two electives: 551, 552, or 555). CPCU course information is available at www.theinstitutes.com.
Note: The Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation fulfills the elective requirement.

AIDM + ACAS or FCAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society

Transcript Requirement
To confirm completion of non-IDMA coursework, an official transcript must be submitted directly from the issuing organization (e.g., CPCU, CAS, LOMA, or SOFE).
