The IDMA Data Quality Certification Model for Insurance Data Management provides a framework for use in attesting to the quality of an organization's data. It is not intended to be a manual of detailed procedures. It also serves as guidelines for the data manager to use in controlling, monitoring and measuring the validity, accuracy, reasonability, and completeness of data. Note: The certification process applies to statistical data.
IDMA maintains The Inventory of Carrier Reports, which is a tool to assist insurers in complying with the ever-increasing demand for data. It identifies reports which require carriers to submit detail or aggregate data for P&C lines of business to state insurance departments and affiliated agencies, rating and statistical agencies, and other data users. The Inventory is dynamic – not definitions and rules – and it will change frequently.
IDMA acknowledges that participation and cooperation with professional and education organizations around the world foster professionalism among insurance data managers and ensures the health of the insurance industry. To help you communicate with groups, we have compiled an international list of educational organizations that focus on insurance.
