For those unfamiliar with the meeting structure of the IDMA Chapters, discussions are quite informal and are geared towards audience interest and participation. To get the ball rolling and focus discussions, a list of topics for discussion is usually provided beforehand. Topics of discussion are very fluid and can change during the meeting, provided they involve data management, are in keeping with IDMA guidelines, and are of interest to participants.
IDMA Chapter meetings attendees find these meeting very valuable for content and networking as they address similar data management challenges.

Midwest Chapter of IDMA
The Midwest Chapter of IDMA meets twice a year (June/July and October/November). The June/July meetings (Spring Meetings) are usually held at CNA Insurance headquarters in Chicago, IL, while the October/November meetings (Fall Meetings) are usually held at Independent Statistical Service (ISS) headquarters in Des Plains, IL (a suburb of Chicago). At these meetings, there is typically a presentation and a discussion of insurance data management issues and trends.
Summer 2011 Meeting: The Summer 2011 meeting was held on June 28 at CNA's corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL. Attendees included insurers, statistical agents, and consultants. Topics discussed included the benefits of the newly created IDMA one-day educational training workshop “Tools for Managing Data Effectively”, and the current state of the insurance data management profession.
Fall 2011 Meeting: The Fall 2011 meeting will be held on November 8 (11:30am–1:30pm CST with a complimentary lunch) at Independent Statistical Service’s (ISS) headquarters in Des Plaines, IL. Larry Gehrke of CNA Insurance will give a presentation on the "Challenges of Establishing Data Stewardship". There will also be time for open discussion. Northeastern Chapter of IDMA
The Northeastern Chapter of IDMA usually meets twice a year (June/July and November/December). Meetings are usually held at IDMA’s headquarters in Jersey City, NJ. Chicago). At these meetings, there is typically a presentation and a discussion of insurance data management issues and trends.
Summer 2011 Meeting: The Summer meeting did not take place this year.
