IDMA Courses Receive High
Marks —
IDMA Students Benefit
The American Council of Education’s
College Credit Recommendation Service updated
their college credit recommendations with
a review in December, 2003. Students will
be able to seek credit from colleges and
universities, citing these recommendations.
These are recommendations intended to be
used by institutions of higher learning as
a guide in awarding credits based on institutional
policy. There are no guarantees, and IDMA
claims no right to award college credit.
IDMA 101, Data Management for Insurance
Professionals, was seen as equivalent to one
credit hour in Insurance or Data Management
at the lower or upper division baccalaureate
level.
IDMA 1,
Insurance Data Collection and Reporting, was
recommended for 3 credit hours in Insurance
or Data Management at the lower or upper division
baccalaureate level.
IDMA 2,
Insurance Data Quality, was recommended for
3 credit hours in Data Quality Management at
the graduate school or upper division baccalaureate
level.
IDMA 3,
Systems Development & Project
Management, was recommended for 3 credit
hours in Project Management at the graduate
school or upper division baccalaureate level.
IDMA 4,
Data Management, Administration, and Warehousing,
was recommended for 3 credit hours in Data
Management at the graduate school or upper
division baccalaureate level. |
